Claire Wigg from Executive English helps Camilla Wagner of Veckans Affärer to prepare for the Northern Future Forum.

“Women in business” is one of the two subjects that this week’s Northern Future Forum is set to cover. Having been elected as one of the moderators, Camilla Wagner has prepared for the meeting with her normal thoroughness including speech and language training with Claire Wigg from Executive English.  This Stockholm-based company, specializing in Business English, is led by a female, Julia Linden-Hill, and features five out of seven women among its consultants.

-          Personally, I think it is great that we can be involved in our small way to make women more visible in business in general and, being and entrepreneur myself, I am eager to encourage more women to go into business for themselves if they find that career channels are blocked or just want to do things differently from the way they are working at the moment, says Julia Linden-Hill, founder and director of Executive English.

-          Having just started to work as a consultant for Executive English, this has been a fantastic assignment to begin with and a great way to put all my previous experience of diversity and business, to good use, says Claire Wigg.

-          Doing hands on training with Claire has really helped me refocus my thinking into the English language and it’s great to be able to use a company that itself is such a great example of exactly what we are trying to achieve with this forum, adds Camilla Wagner.
